I am writing to formally introduce myself and express my interest in working with your company.
I am currently a student working towards Free Code Camp’s Front-End Certification. In addition, I currently serve as an assistant manager at Jersey Mikes in Mission Valley, where I have excelled as a leader and top employee for the last 3 years. I graduated a year early from Carlsbad High School in 2008, where I enjoyed working as the Assistant Stage Manager in theater productions. I also organized and led my Boy Scout troop on numerous outings as a Patrol Leader and participated in over 500 hours of community service. All of these experiences contributed to my current leadership abilities, organizational skills and my inexhaustible work ethic.
It took me three months to catch up in progress to many of the more experienced members in Free Code Camp. My drive, ability to learn quickly and consistent participation have impressed my peers, and with the help of our most seasoned members we are beginning to talk about collaborating on larger-scale applications. Whenever an unknown subject is brought up, I tirelessly research and put the topic into practice so that by our next weekly meeting I have something to show for it. I’ve been told this is a valuable trait in a front-end development: the ability to learn and adapt on the fly. I am passionate and inspired by the study and application of all aspects of computer technology, and am eagerly pursuing the dream to one day become a pioneer in the field. I believe that this position would provide me with valuable insight and experience to get my career moving as a young developer.
