Lifestyle cont’d ……. Life Writing, with Janet Brown

Anglesea is fast becoming the recognised location on the Surf Coast for conducting quality writing workshops with Janet Brown—great practical advice and class exercises, stimulating discussions, encouragement and inspiration, sharing of experiences and ideas, all in a small group setting.

Everyone has a unique story to tell. Some people write their life story because of their interest in family history, others are keen to write their memoirs, and some just like the opportunity to share and reflect. For many it can be a cathartic journey of personal reflection and you will not be required to share your writing if you do not want to.

Some of the topics will include:

How to turn your personal story/journey into a great read, recording or performance.

Awakening your memories and organizing them creatively

Where to start? What to include and what to leave out?

Describing events and people

Finishing the project – staying motivated

By the completion of the course participants will have the tools and confidence to continue under their own steam.

This 6 week course is suitable for adults of all ages and all writing levels.

When | Thursdays 9.30 am—12.30 pm from 16 May for 6 weeks

Cost | $145 or $75 concession
