Course Prospectus

In this course you will experience both theory and practical components of designing safe, dynamic and aesthetically pleasing lips. You will complete a full assessment, consultation and aftercare on a minimum of 5 models. You will be provided with a CPD certificate upon completion along with a course workbook, resource folder, ongoing support and lunch and refreshments.

Course Objectives • Understand the ageing process; Younger Vs Older skin

• Understand the role of Hyaluronic Acid

• Understand what dermal filler is and how its used in facial aesthetics

• Understand the role of dermal fillers in the ageing process

• Understand the differences between dermal fillers and their indications for use

• Understand the anatomy of the lips

• Demonstrate a thorough facial assessment and consultation

• Demonstrate appropriate client selection for lip augmentation

• Effectively manage client expectations

• Understand and demonstrate appropriate injection techniques safely

• Understanding complications and demonstrating how to minimise these in clinical practice

• Understanding Hyaluronidase and its role in managing complications

• Demonstrate safe, legal, and ethical injecting in lip augmentation through an in depth OSCE examination

Lip Enhancement Course (10am-5pm)

In this course you will learn the exclusive Sarahlouise techniques that have been created to achieve the most ideal outcomes in a variety of lip anatomies. This is ideal if you are experienced and want to gain advanced knowledge and skills specifically in lip enhancement, with the option to learn the cannula technique during this session. You will complete a full assessment, consultation treatment and aftercare on a minimum of 4 models. You will be provided with a CPD certificate upon completion along with a resource folder, ongoing support and lunch and refreshments.

Course Objectives • Understand the anatomy of the lips

• Demonstrate a thorough facial assessment and consultation

• Demonstrate appropriate client selection for lip augmentation

• Effectively manage client expectations

• Understand and demonstrate appropriate injection techniques safely

• Learn and understand the SarahLouise Techniques

• Understand the surrounding peri oral anatomy and its influence on lip enhancement outcomes

• Also you will have the chance to learn any objectives of your choice.

Lip Enhancement Masterclass (10am-3pm)

During these sessions you will gain exclusive hand on experience in any dermal filler or anti-wrinkle treatment of your choice. We advise one hour per procedure and you must be competent with basic understanding and execution in that particular procedure. Our mentors will guide you through anatomy and injection techniques to achieve the most optimal and safe outcome.

You will use the Sarahlouise techniques that have been created to suit different anatomical structures and use multiple types of dermal fillers throughout the session. This is ideal if you are experienced and want to gain advanced knowledge and skills in your desired procedure, with the option to learn the cannula technique during this session.

You will be provided with a CPD certificate upon completion along with a resource folder, ongoing support and lunch and refreshments.

1-2-1 Mentoring (Minimum 2 hr sessions)

These sessions are designed to allow practitioners into the SarahLouise Clinic and observe what is involved in a typical clinic day. The clinical observation sessions are ideal if you are a relatively new to the Aesthetic Industry or looking to advance your own aesthetics clinic and the overall performance of your business. During these sessions you will have access to first hand experience in all aspects of an aesthetic patient journey and guidance on patient practitioner relationships; what we represent as one of our main company values within SarahLouise Aesthetics.

Course Objectives • Gain a better understanding of the daily activities involved in the running of a well

established aesthetic clinic.

• Understand the consultation process and the importance of applying your professional boy codes to your practice

• Understand and evaluate patient suitability by competently completing a thorough assessment, medical history and screening; within the scope of aesthetic practice

• Observe the SLA consultation, assessment and procedure process and adapt this into your personal aesthetic practice

• Observe SLA techniques chosen for specific indications and the evidence behind these choices

• Observe a range of dermal filler and toxin brands used throughout the clinic for different procedures

• Observe the SLA documents, computer software, consent process, data protection and understanding the importance of before and after photos

• Learn how to confidently work with difficult patients who may have unrealistic expectations
