The Courier The coffee shop has long been a tradi- tional place for sharing the events of life. Who’s new in town, how are the crops do- ing, who’s getting married... or devorced, what’s the weather going to be, and a whole host of other bits of tittle tattle. It can also be a place to find a friendly ear when life is hard. Steve and Marti Scott of Wendell re- cently opened the doors to a new coffee house at the north end of Wendell - The Blessed Bean. The doors (or drive-up windows) open at 4 in the morning, Mon- day thru Saturday for those early risers and close at 6 in the evening (4:00 on Saturday). Marti started her coffee making cou- reer at JR Java and ever since it closed she has wanted to return to the grind. It took two years of planning to finally open on June 1st, but now you can stop by and pick up your fa- vorite drink from Angela, JoAnna, Susan, Jasmin, Sarah, or Petie. No matter how early you start, coffee makes your day because it is, after all... magic in a cup. Magic in a Cup Water Calls Dismissed In April of this year, the District Court conducted a judicial review regarding the water call by the Big Wood & Little Wood water users association (senior water right holders). e District Court held that the “seniors failed to satisfy both the filing and service requirements of Rule 30 to the prejudice of the substantial rights of Sun Valley, the Cities of Fair- field and Ketchum, and the Water District 37B Ground Water Association.” is ruling set aside the IDWR Director’s Order Denying Sun Valley Com- pany’s Motion to Dismiss issued in July 2015, and re- manded the matter back to IDWR for further proceed- ings as necessary. e Dis- trict Court also set aside the Director’s Order Denying a Joint Motion to Designate ACGWS by Rulemaking and to Dismiss Delivery Calls. Based on the District Court’s ruling and that no appeal was filed, the IDWR Director issued an order on June 22, 2016, concluding that no further proceedings are necessary and dismissed the delivery calls. Angela Rodriguez, Marti Scott and Jacobe Fox (grandson) welcome visitors to the Blessed Bean.
