Home child care requires a Special Use and a hearing with the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). Although, we do not issue licenses/permits, we

do require this and zoning verification of the business. There is a $210 fee assigned to a hearing with the BZA, if a hearing is required. A

commercial childcare center also requires a Special Use. There would also be confirmation of state compliance, jurisdictional fire department

compliance, and at a minimum, a certificate of occupancy for the building. A Special Use stays with the property, but is null and void if the use is
