DESCRIPTION One-and-a-half-story raised frame cottage; intersecting gables; attached porch wraps to both sides, roof supported by turned posts with f l a t balusters between; enclosed sleeping porch added in front gable end; single front door with transom; windows with one-over-one lights; interior chimney; unusual concrete porch floor.

Alterations Sleeping porch added above front entrance, at an early date. SIGNIFICANCE This house was b u i l t as a wedding present for Ava Sumbardo when she married Philo Perry. Her father, C. L. Sumbardo, also lived there and was a dealer in farm real estate. This was later the home of William Swilley, another real estate agent who~ was prominent~in the Heights, and whose son, George Swilley, continues in that line of business in the neighborhood.
