Alterations original entrance doorway converted to large window; entrance now* SIGNIFICANCE Unique style for this area; very well preserved. Original owner, Emerson E. Woodward, took part in the- Houston-area o i l boom of that era as vice president of Republican Petroleum Company, and president of Federal Petroleum Company. He was typical of the upper-class residents who settled on Heights Boulevard.
