Why Cant I Love My Body?

Why is it so hard to be satisfied with who we are? While body image is an
important part of self esteem, the way in which the media distorts the ideas
and representations of body types sometimes distorts our perceptions of what
is beautiful and healthy. Images of women and men in the media will be
presented and discussed as well as ways to promote a positive body esteem
and self awareness.

This presentation will share current research findings on college students with
autism, and include practical strategies students who are autistic can use to
help them in being more academically successful. This is open to students with
autism, family members, or anyone wishing to learn more on the topic. The
workshop will be both interactive and informative in format, allowing for an
exchange of information by both presenter and audience members.
Using Visualization/Guided Imagery to get the Most Out of Life

participatory workshop will discuss frustrations and challenges students with
disabilities may experience in a variety of settings.
Counseling Services workshops are free of charge and open to all College of DuPage faculty, students, staff,
