Character: Alex Davidson Costume1: Alex is our main character and therefore we

need most of the attention directed on him. For this we will use colours like white because this connotes cleanliness. This is because this character will be groomed, so it looks like he can take care of himself.

Costume2: This costume is for the flashback Alex has with Lucy. For this he will be wearing casual clothing so the scene looks relaxed. He will be wearing bright colours like green and yellow because these will connote happier times. These colours will also contrast what he is wearing in present scenes.

Costume3: In one of our scenes, Alex picks up a water proof jack, and a hoodie. The hood will be able to connote darkness and crime, this foreshadows what might happen.

Character: Lucy Maxwell Lucy will be wearing a white patterned

dress with dolly shoes. This is because white connotes purity. We have also decided her makeup will be quite light, and her hair will be tied up. This is because we want to make her look as sweet and vulnerable as possible as well as young looking.

Character: New Report, James Steward James will be wearing a black suit because

he needs to look smart and professional so that people will take him seriously. He will be wearing a red tie because red connotes danger and in our opening sequence he is giving bad news. He will be well groomed for example shaven and clean because

news reporters need to be presentable to the public.

Character: Family Members All the family members are in the opening

sequence for a short amount of time when watching the news report. We have decided to put them in duller colours like navy blue and grey, because they are receiving bad news and are upset and these colours will connote this. Also we do not want the attention to be directed away from Alex.

Gun: We are using a gun because it connotes danger. This could show that something bad is going to happen or that the character will commit something. It also shows the character as powerful.

Wallet: The wallet is going to be shown in the opening sequence because it shows the character as quite wealthy and he could also show his power through this

Writing Equipment: This will be used because it is needed for him to write his note for his family.

Piles of paperwork and documents: This will be on the desk in the scene to show that the character is quite smart and obviously has an important job. As well as this it shows that he is organised and clean. This builds up on his character for the audience.

Family living room: We are using a family living room in our opening sequence because it gives a sense of security and comforts, making the place seem quite safe like nothing bad could happen.

Study: A study is used in the opening sequence because it gives a sense of seriousness and makes the character seem official. It also makes him seem professional.

Park: The Park is used in the flashback because it connotes a happier place; this is because children are around having fun. Also it is quite a sweet place for a couple to go.
