2. Joseph Joseph is a slightly nerdy, anti-social, awkwardteenager. Joseph has two different costumes throughoutthe film, and both are made to give the nerdyawkward impression we are aiming to achieve,across to the audience. 3. Josephs costumes Joseph starts the film in his pyjamas, much like achild would wear to bed. We want to emphasishow immature he is, pyjamas are usually linkedwith children and we are trying to put across tothe audience that hes still a dependant child atheart. The matching pyjamas also show how organisedhe is, showing the audience he thinks everythingthrough. Also, emphasising that he is neat andprecise, which helps to make sense of othersscenes of him tidying and making a personalchecklist. 4. Josephs costumes As lady candy arrives Joseph changes into hissecond costume, a more formal casual outfit. The grey shirt, and the tie is worn together and hasthe effect of both: portraying to the audience that he isnerdy and awkward by the way the colours of bothitems dont match, and the way hes tried to make acasual shirt formal with a unfashionable tie. Also,emphasising how important this is for him, as he hastried to impress the escort and dress for an occasion,although within his panic (due to this being soimportant) he has ended up with a strangecombination. The jeans are casual and regular fitted, nothingabnormal, casual and plain, showing the audiencethat his planned outfit was a bad mixture of formaland casual. Once again showing his child like thoughtprocess. 5. Lady Candys costume She will be dressed in all black, we wanted to go for one plaincolour, and the use of a darker colour portrays they are up to nogood. She will be wearing black heels, this is so she is the exact sameheight as Joseph. Even though she is the escort and has beencalled a for her service to Joseph, and way they are at levelheights show there is no clear dominant figure and emphasisshis lack of confidence. Her all black dress has been specifically chosen to give the bestpossible representation across to the audience. The dress isquite high up on her legs, making them look longer than Josephsand lowering his dominance. Also, paired with the revealing neckarea which shows cleavage, creates an impression of seduction,portraying to the audience that shes experienced and knowshow to seduce Joseph and show him what he wants.
