Costume, Props and Equipment - Runaway

Equipment

GoPro Hero 3+

I used the GoPro for the main fact that it is small and portable, this gave me the option of doing a variety of shots due to is weight. The GoPro also has an array of features including the option of high FPS this will be useful if I plan to shot any of the video in slow motion. The

protective/ waterproof casing also makes the camera very durable and able to capture images that normal school cameras would struggle to do. However being a smaller camera the quality may suffer compared to the DSLR cameras, but I feel the GoPro will be fine for the shots I need.

Chest Mount

I will be using a chest mount for the bulk of my shots as it will enable me to do Point of View shots which will help convey a sense of presence for the audience, this will help the audience easy relate to the video as they can image it being them.

Camera Stick

This will be used to fill in the smaller shots such as; any panning, scenic or group shot that I will include myself in. due to it being able to extend I will be able to adjust it to the perfect length for the shot required ]

All together I chose a very minimalistic set up for my gear as I want to be able to adjust on the go and have the opportunity to capture any shot that I feel necessary.

Costume

All the actors will be wearing vacation/ summer outfits to adhere to the theme of a summer get away, this will include the likes of shorts, vests, t-shirts and sunglasses. I am choosing to do this as it will give a get representation of what life is like on these specific holidays. As the group I am working with is rather large I intend to be quite loose with the restrictions as I believe there needs to be variation on the costumes.

Props

I have no set props for this production as I intend to use what I see out there depending on the shot, this in my eyes will help me create a more realistic representation without the need to force anything to make the connection with the audience
