1:30 – 3:00pm Meet Cory Conacherand hear his story about living with Type 1diabetes and playing professional hockey
Also hear from Michelle Sorensen, a Clinical Psychological Associate, who will speak about how to increase your motivation for change and how to cope with some of the emotional challenges of living with diabetes
3:30pm – Ice hockey time with Cory Conacher with some of his AHL/NHL teammates for children 18 years and under living with Type 1 diabetes at Carleton University Ice House
Join us for an inspirational and educational day with Cory Conacher. Cory, who is living with Type 1 diabetes, has recently signed with the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning Team and was awarded this year’s AHL Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year and Leading Goal Scorer.
