Last Thursday I a ended the Wollongong North Principals
Network term 4 mee ng. To begin the mee ng, our boys from
4‐6Silver welcomed the Principals with Sebas an presen ng the
‘Acknowledgment of Country’ and then performing the Na onal
Anthem in Dharawal. Josh M begun the performance by playing
the didgeridoo. The boys then sung and were accompanied by
each of them playing aboriginal instruments. The boys did an
absolutely amazing job and I was so very proud of them all.
A erwards, many of the Principals and the Director, Debbie
Lowe, commented to me on what a brilliant job the boys did–
well done guys. You made us all very proud! My thanks to Mr
Turner and Mrs Brown for preparing the boys and suppor ng
them throughout the performance. A great accomplishment
for Public Educa on, thank you both!
Planning is well underway for our end of year ac vi es. Please

Canteen Menu Changes
A new canteen menu has been sent home today as there have been a few changes made by Made Fresh. Please ensure you are ordering from the current menu.
Our thanks to Ka e Gehlhaar Gebbinck’s grandfather for his kind dona ons of flowers, shrubs and vegetable plants for our school. This is not the first me this wonderful gentleman has donated to our school– thank you!

We have been having fun with whole school singing at our weekly assemblies. This is
the students (and staff & parents) singing ‘Hey Baby’.
Book Club
Scholas c Book Club catalogues were distributed
to the classrooms last week. This gives you a great
opportunity to start on that Christmas shopping!
Purchases will be delivered to the classroom
approximately two weeks a er the order closes.

Tennis Lessons There will be no tennis lessons for the next three weeks as Mrs Davies will be away. Tennis lessons will resume on Wednesday November 12th.
Selec ve High School Applica on (2016)
Applica ons for placement in Year 7 at a selec ve high school in 2016 will be open to parents of students in Year 5 from 14th October—17th November, 2014. The applica on informa on booklet is available at www.schools.nsw.edu.au/shplacement
Community Announcements
Free ckets are available from the office for these performances on November 9th at 11am, 2pm or 4pm. Although we only have limited ckets at the office, entry is free and ckets are not required.
P&C Halloween Mu i Day Dear Parents / Caregivers,
As part of the CEPS end of year ac vi es, the P&C has organised a Mu i Day for Friday 31st October.
As it is Halloween, students are asked to dress in dark coloured a re and bring in a food item or bo le as a dona on. The donated items will go towards providing prizes in the upcoming games and for the Christmas Hamper Raffle, which will be drawn at our Twilight Christmas Family Fun Night on Friday 5th December.
In order to ensure that a variety of donated items are received, we ask that you please choose a dona on item according to your child’s class:
*Suggested suitable Bo le dona ons: shower gel, salad dressing, drinks, sauce, washing up liquid, or anything else that comes in a bo le!
Please remember to bring your dona ons on the day for your classroom teacher to collect. Your generous support of your child’s P&C is greatly appreciated. Yours sincerely, CEPS P&C

End Of Year Family Fun Night Save the date – The CEPS Twilight Family Fun Night, Friday 5th December. Just in me for Christmas. Come celebrate and have fun at the food and market stalls, then later get into the groove at the Family Disco. More details this term. We look forward to seeing you there!
