From The Pastor’s Desk dropped the fish. When the fish hit the ground, it dropped the ball in for a perfect hole in one. Jesus and Moses turn to the old man, and Jesus said, "Dad, if you don't quit playing like that, we're not going to bring you anymore."

#3 - The basketball coach stormed into the university presi-dent's office and demanded a raise right then and there. "Please," protested the college President, "you already make more than the en re History department." "Yeah, maybe so, but you don't know what I have to put up with," the coach blustered. "Look." He went out into the hall and grabbed a jock who was jogging down the hallway. "Run over to my office and see if I'm there," he ordered. Twenty minutes later the jock returned, sweaty and out of breath. "You're not there, sir," he reported. "Oh, I see what you mean," conceded the President, scratching his head. "I would have phoned."

#4 - Two friends went out to play golf and were about to tee off, when one fellow no ced that his partner had but one golf ball. "Don't you have at least one other golf ball?” he asked. The other guy replied that no, he only needed the one. "Are you sure?", the friend persisted. "What happens if you lose that ball?" The other guy replied, "This is a very special golf ball. I won't lose it so I don't need another one." Well," the friend asked, "what happens if you miss your shot and the ball goes in the lake?" "That's okay," he replied, "this special golf ball floats. I'll be able to retrieve it." "Well what happens if you hit it into the trees and it gets lost among the bushes and shrubs?" The other guy replied, "That's okay too. You see, this special golf ball has a homing beacon. I'll be able to get it back -- no problem." Exasperated, the friend asks, "Okay. Let's say our game goes late, the sun goes down, and you hit your ball into a sand trap. What are you going to do then?" "No problem," says the other guy, "you see, this ball is florescent. I'll be able to see it in the dark." Finally sa sfied that he needs only the one golf ball, the friend asks, "Hey, where did you get a golf ball like that any-way?" The other guy replies, "I found it."

#5 – A man loved to play golf. It was the one ac vity he looked forward to every week. One Saturday, he returned home from a scheduled three-some much earlier than his wife expected. She asked him why he was home so early. "Do you want to play golf with someone who whines about every shot, complains about everything on the course, and makes noises when you're trying to make an important shot?", he asked. "No, I don't," answered his wife. "Neither did they!" Fr. Murphy

This weekend we celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord. We recall at the end of forty days following Jesus’ glorious resurrec on, Our Savior ascended triumphantly into heaven. His mission on earth had ended. Now the promise of the Holy Spirit would be given. That is why the following week-end is the Solemnity of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The parish is hos ng another cruise for next year!!! We are excited to announce that an exci ng 7 day cruise with Holland America from January 26th to February 2nd, 2020. We will have informa on on the cruise on the tables with all the details. This cruise is also a fundraiser for the church’s building fund. Our last cruise garnered $5287. So, please join us for a very relaxing and fun journey to the Caribbean.

And now some funnies:

#1 - A man named Fred had ckets to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, right at center ice. As Fred sat down, a man came and asked him if anyone was going to occupy the seat next to him. "No," said Fred, "sit right down. The seat will be empty." "That's incredible!" said the man. "Who in their right mind would reserve a seat like this for the Stanley Cup and then not use it?" Fred said, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Stanley Cup we haven't been to together since we got married nearly 50 years ago." "Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else - a friend or rela ve, or even a neigh-bor - to take her seat?" Fred shook his head sadly. "No. They're all at the funer-al."

#2 - Three men went out to play a round of golf, Moses, Je-sus and an old man. Moses tee'd off first, and the ball land-ed in the water. He parted the water, and hit the ball in for a birdie. Jesus tee'd off next, and the ball landed in the water. He then walked on the water, and hit the ball in for a birdie. Lastly the old man tee'd off, but before the ball could hit the water, a fish jumped out and caught the ball in its mouth. Then an eagle swooped down and caught the fish. Lightening then struck near the eagle, frightening it, and it
