What is self defense?

If a person is attacked…what are his options?

What is wrong with the above options???

In all these aforementioned options, the attack has already taken place…


General perception v/s Our perception of self defense

General perception: Usage of force in the form of kicks, punches etc to protect

oneself in the time of peril.

Our perception: We at TTS believe that self defense has more to do with

alertness and not getting into a confrontation unless the situation imperatively demands so.

Note: a strong individual cannot ensure 100 percent protection/safety to self/family/loved ones, but a trained, intelligent and alert individual can.


Why is self defense so important?

To combat crimes committed especially against women, children and senior citizens

The purpose of this workshop…

Our goal is to provide realistic self-defense options to you, regardless of your physical abilities and level of conditioning

All participants at any levels of ability, age group, experience and strength, are taught techniques that can be effectively used in the time of need

This is NOT a martial arts program, nor does it require participants to be trained athletes


How we achieve this..?

Techniques to exploit opponent’s weak body parts to attack while protecting your own

Releases from grabs, chokes and various holds Defending attacks from knives, iron rods or sticks Neutralizing threats from guns and other weapons


Defending against neck chokes from side, front and back

Using your body as the weapon to defend yourself in any adverse situation

Understand the attackers body language and use tricks of evasion & deception to ensure your safety

Staying alert and using all available things including attacker’s body against him


PHYSICAL TRAINNING PART1

For the women participants…

Special demos on the key “hitting” points of the attacker

Psychological empowerment workshop Awareness tactics and alertness to foresee any

adverse situation and methods of combat (should such a situation arise)

Understand the attacker’s body language to prevent & fight if necessary!
