MANAGEMENT PROFILE

Aijaz Abbasi, Chairman and CEO

Aijaz Abbasi has been involved in the business of stock brokerage and investment advisory since 1960s. During this time he has played an active role in the development of capital markets in Pakistan and serving the brokerage industry.

Aijaz Abbasi has been a member of the Karachi Stock Exchange since 1971. During his career he has served as a director of a number of companies including the Karachi Stock Exchange.

Aijaz Abbasi holds a graduate degree from Punjab University.

Ali Abbasi, Head of Research and Business Development

Ali Abbasi completed his B.A.(Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Sussex in 1997. He then went on to complete his Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 2000.

Prior to joining Abbasi Securities in April 2009, Ali Abbasi spent over 12 years working in the UK. He has experience of advising corporate and financial investors in their buy and sell side corporate finance activities including IPOs and financial and commercial due diligence. Before leaving the UK Ali was part of ABN AMRO Bank’s Special Situations and Distressed Capital team in London.

Ali Abbasi heads the research function at Abbasi Securities and is also responsible for product and business development.

Mohiuddin Shah, Head of Equity Sales

Mohiuddin Shah heads the Equity Sales Desk at ASL and has been associated with the firm since 1993. He has extensive experience of advising both institutional and retail clients. His unique methodology of stock selection is based on both technical as well as fundamental research.

Mohiuddin Shah holds a graduate degree from the University of Karachi.

Sammar Ali Shah, ACCA Investment Portfolio Manager

Mr Sammar has over 7 years of experience in investment research and management at Abbasi Securities.During his tenure he has served Abbasi Securties in various capacities including lead roles in Research, Commodities and Fixed Income desk. He currently looks after investment portfolios ofinstitutions and high Net Worth investors.

Mr Sammar is an ACCA member and is currently pursuing his CFA.

Mohsen Siddiqui, Investment Portfolio Manager

Mr Mohsen joined Abbasi Securities in 2014 as a business development executive and played an instrumental role in increasing the client base at Abbasi Securities. Since then he has grown intoa complete investment professional and currently looks after investment portfolios of high Net Worthand retail investors.

He holds a Bsc honors degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of London - International Programs and is a certified stock broker from the Institue of Financial Marketsof Pakistan.

He is currently pursuing his CFA.
