Our history
Our international focus is reflected both in the location of our production centres and commercial offices and in the commercial activity we carry out in more than 90 countries throughout the 5 continents.
1943OriginThree young chemists from Valencia (Spain) invented a procedure for extracting theobromine, an alkaloid very similarto caffeine, which isonlyfound in the cocoabean.
1991Stock ExchangeThe company’s sharesstarted trading on theMadridstock exchange.
2004Acquisition of ZahorNatra acquired Zahor, specialising in slabs, countlines and chocolates, with a factory in Spain and in France and a strong turnover in Europe, thus focusing on end products for consumers.
2007SpreadsNatra bought All Crump (Belgium) and set up a new business unit for spreads.
2017-2018Transformation Plan Customer-centric Transformation Plan to boost growth.New organisation of management team.
1950Expansion of the businessThey then branched outinto the manufacturingand marketing of cocoaproducts: powder, massandbutter.
2000New production line Manufacturing of chocolate coverture commenced at the Valencia factory.
2005Belgian chocolates Acquisition of Chocolaterie Jacali (Belgium), specialising in Belgian chocolates and gifting.
