On-boarding&PersonnelAdministrationArchiTECH Solutions’ On-boarding and Personnel Administration (OPA) application provides an on-boarding and personnel management application designed to streamline resource management operations, ensure data validity, enhance stakeholder visibility, and provide management reporting to executives.

Specifically, stakeholders have the ability to onboard new resources, entering personal information, experience details, and applicable supplier data. Users can also onboard resources to projects through a financial management framework, calculating project rates to ensure company margins are met. In addition, on-boarding tasks are spawned for the HR, Finance, and IT departments to manage everything from paperwork submission to company email and intranet account creation.

Outside of the on-boarding process flow, OPA includes a contract management portal, which notifies stakeholders of expiring resources and provides interfaces to modify the existing contracts.

Its mobile and news feed integrations allow for complete awareness anywhere, at any time; from uploading candidate resumes on the road, to time notifications for I-9 paperwork submission.

Client ChallengeThe Food and Drug Administration had four environments that were outdated and at risk for losing software support for their application. The configuration setups were also incongruous to one another and frequently encountered warnings due to the limited amount of memory allocated on their servers. The client was in need of upgrade services and to configure all of their environments for better performance.

Client Success & SolutionArchiTECH Solutions provided fully configured installation scripts for the client to deploy on each of their environments to upgrade to the latest version of Appian. All custom configuration files across the four environments were reconfigured and merged to meet the quality and compliance standards of the software and to facilitate easier upgrade practices in the future. More memory was allocated to the servers to improve stability and a full application backup was performed to ensure a quick and reliable fallback method. ATS also produced Version Description Documents (VDD) for each of the upgraded environments that included a list of all required components and thorough step-by-step instructions on how to install and deploy the upgrade configuration scripts.
