Sustaining MembershipSustaining Membership is the highest level of
corporate distinction within The Society. This level
demonstrates a corporation’s commitment to invest
in their profession by financially supporting the
educational initiatives of The Engineering Society
of Detroit. To be considered a Sustaining Member,
your corporation commits a minimum of $3,000
above your appropriate dues level—this portion
of your membership is considered a charitable
contribution to the Society.

ESD Student Chapters
ESD is establishing college student chapters at the top
25 universities in Michigan with engineering programs.
Corporate members can serve as mentors or liaisons,
helping build the next generation.
Michigan Regional Future City Competition
Future City challenges middle school students to
design a city of the future. The program fosters interest
in engineering, math and science through hands-on,
real-world applications. Michigan is two-time, reigning
national champion. Corporate members can serve as
mentors or judges.
Engineering SMArT Michigan™
Engages high-school students to envision and shape their
own communities through their new understanding of
energy and cultivates their desire to be active contributors
to the vitality of their city. Corporate members can serve
as mentors or judges.
SciEngiMathePloration Cable Show for Kids
This award-winning national cable television show is
designed to ignite kids’ interests in math, science and
engineering. Corporate members can sponsor a show, and
have their company or product featured.
Junior Membership
Complimentary membership for students ages 8-17
who aspire to explore science, technology, engineering
and mathematics as future career pathways. Corporate
membership helps sustain this valuable program.
