IntegrationThe company engages in backward integration of its

own products like tubes, poles, scaffoldings, PVC

pipes. Skipper almost manufactures inputs for 4 of

its 5 principal finished products (almost 80% of the

raw materials required) in-house. The in-house

control immensely helps the company in simplifying

time, in swifter decision making and in easier

delivery. It also reduces an unhealthy dependence

on external sources for input supplies. The company

on the other hand is entirely responsible and

accountable for sourcing of quality and eco-friendly

inputs on a more conscious footing.

IT-enabled The information technology wing captures

information exhaustively on a real-time basis.

Every commercial transaction including

Purchase, Production, Inventory Control,

Sales and Invoicing are carried out on various

ERP Platforms, diligently inducted into

everyday processes by the company.

The company also uses IP based remote CCTV

system and Video conferencing between all

plant locations to ensure minimum physical

movement of manpower.

In time, the company’s production, HR, quality

systems and estimations (costing, budgeting) will

be migrated to the ERP.

A company with an IT-enabled system helps in

gathering more authentic and readily available

data which further helps in faster decision

making and swifter response to vendors and

customers. Also reduces wastages and helps

avoid dependence on manpower, lowering
