Description
The Screen Commission is a publicly financed body set up by Cork City Council & Cork County Council
and is managed by the Cork Film Centre.
It has been financed for an initial 3 year period and was established in August 2011.
It has one full time Employee and a fixed operational budget which is reviewed annually.
Aims & Objectives
-To nurture and develop the indigenous Screen Industries in Cork City & County, providing local highly skilled jobs & enhancing the regions creative output.
-To make Cork a truly film friendly destination in order to attract national & international production companies into the Region.
-Helping to support local jobs and increasing local spend together with Tourism benefits.

-Offices based near City with meeting spaces, broadband & viewing cinema
-Commissioner mobile, continually on-line & ‘on-call’ to deal with inquiries 24/7
-Main portal is via phone & e-mail via Official website which hosts databases of locations,
crew, cast, facilities & production support
