STATUS REPORT as of March 28, 2014 Tier 1 (Top Priority) Key Issue 1: Project Productivity Deficit Key Issue 2: Project Re-work Key Issue 3: Network Connectivity, broad solution --- Key Risk 1: Excessive Project Crashing & Go-Live Schedule Risk Key Risk 2: BIDS Replacement Delay, Higher Education Network Connectivity Key Risk 3: End-User Training Material Development Timeliness Key Risk 4: End-User Training Delivery Quality --- Status Update Summary The CORE project is heavily focused on interface development and preparing for user acceptance testing. Script test developed for UAT has exceeded the 50% mark – work continues feverishly. The UAT kick-off meeting occurred earlier today and execution in earnest is now upon us. Concurrently interface unit-testing continues. This is behind schedule but is experiencing a comeback. More than twenty files are now ready for the IST back-testing and UAT. This is far better than the number ready at the beginning of the year but many more are needed. We will work with the OSC to continue to drum up the effort to complete this work. Good news: many more files are expected to be ready over the next ten business days. Moreover, there are no known insurmountable functional or technical challenges. Network connectivity remains an issue. The decision has been made to abandon an IP-based approach. OIT has offered an alternative Zscaler-based solution. Design activities for this new solution are underway being led by one of our project sponsors – Michael Brown. While this happens we will need a temporary solution for the HE entities so as to ensure interface testing for UAT occurs without mishap. The OIT PM will sponsor a session to confirm the work-around approach. This meeting is being planned for the week of April 7

th.

The train-the-trainer program is complete and so is the End-User Training Plan. Stay tuned for more information about that initiative from DPA. LDC is also moving forward, though under schedule pressure. LDC interfaces have been split into two groups – those being addressed by the State of Colorado, and those being worked by PeopleStrategy. The LDC team has confirmed the need to on-board 3 contractors to address integrated system testing. The hiring process is underway. The LDC leadership team is also working to address some key issues. Finally, CGI has added a large number of staff members to the project to accelerate project delivery. They are now reporting the project with a yellow status. OIT however is still reporting the project red. The main reason for this is the significant schedule debt facing the project is light of the productivity deficit. Work is progressing and productivity has increased. However, the concern is the pace of work completion compared to the pace required for on-time completion. Additional boosts in productivity are needed and some additional discussion may be required address this shortfall.
