What is MetRO?
Definition: • Tool to provide information about data
(metadata) stored in data repositories throughout Intel.
• Data includes such things as business definitions, technical definitions (data types, field lengths, etc) and mappings between the original source of the data and where it can be accessed.

What is MetRO?
MetRO brings in metadata from several sources including:
• Databases - SQL 7.0, SQL 2000, Oracle, Teradata
• Data Models - SilverRun, ERwin, ER Studio
• Excel Templates - To bulk load metadata objects like Tables, Views, Entities, Attributes, etc.
• Description Bulk Loader - For Table/Table Column and View/View Column descriptions.
