FLY OVERa tribute to essential care for VeteransFor the past 17 years, Leave No One Behind has been thesignature fundraising event to support the many programs andservices offered at the New England Center and Home forVeterans (NECHV). While the event will look very different thisyear, all proceeds will benefit the NECHV's housing programs,clinical support services, and employment services. MISSION: The NECHV is one of the nation's largest private, community-basedproviders of human services to Veterans who are experiencing challenges followingtheir military service. ABOUT THE NECHV

The New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) is one of the Nation’s largestprivate, community-based providers of human services to Veterans who areexperiencing challenges following their military service. Since 1989, the NECHV hashelped more than 30,000 Veterans regain control of their lives.

Every aspect of daily life and every element of our society has been touchedand disrupted by the ongoing public health crisis; and the Veterans served bythe NECHV are especially at risk. A significant majority of Veteran residents atthe Center are older or aging, and have underlying health conditions,particularly cardio-vascular, pulmonary and immune system challenges. Yoursupport is a critical component in our ability to help Veterans in need returnto a stable civilian life.

Today, the NECHV, located in the heart of Boston: ·

Is open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.Provides housing, clinical support, education and employment services toover 1,300 Veterans a year.Houses more than 280 Veterans on any given night.Offers 97 permanent homes on site.In 2019, successfully assisted 152 Veterans obtain permanent housing.The NECHV's employment and training services assists with job searches,resume development, job orientation, training, job retention, workresponsibilities and job issues. It also provides employment counseling toassess vocational interests and skills, develop realistic career goals, and,ultimately, secure paid employment. Our Veteran 360 Program provides a lifeline for Veterans who arechronically homeless due to mental or behavioral health challenges.Every Veteran works with a clinical case manager.There are over 40,000 American charities with military-related missions.The NECHV is honored to be one of the 86 charities listed on CharityNavigator's top list of highly-rated, trustworthy organizations providingservices to Veterans and active members of the U.S. military.
