Biomes
The Rucervus animal has different habitat, they would be in…
● Glassland (This would apply to all)● Forest (scrub forest) (Applies to all)● Swamp (This applies to Rucervus duvaucelii)● Marsh (This applies to Rucervus duvaucelii)

Competition
“Dry season diets of sympatric ungulates in lowland Nepal: competition and facilitation in alluvial tall grasslands,” Ecological Research, vol. 21, no. 5, pp. 698–706, 2006.
The Rucervus animal has the competition of not only its own kind but also it competes with animals such as the antelopes.

Biodiversity
The Rucer\us animal originated in the Cervus family. Other animals that are in family that had a different adaptive radiation are
● Moose● Caribous● Horses● Bears● Oxes

Adaptive Radiation
● Antler - The bigger the animal, the bigger the antler are.
● Big deposits of (expensive) fat● Patterned fur coats● Big brain
All of these qualities that were picked up by the Rucervus and Cervus were all ones that made its survival successful later on.

Evolution
The evolution of them started long long ago, so far that we don’t have any scientific proof to show how it started. Even though we do not know the start of the species we later on find out that these animals adapted and evolved many times thanks to the help of Human Hands. These animals adapted from temperature change, habitat change and climate change.

SuccessionThe ecosystem of the grassland overcame many things.
It begins with the geological uplift of the grassland area. After that new life spawns making primary succession begin weeds and easy growth life begins making the area a place where animals can live. Theses areas in the beginning only have very young life because reproduction is where most of the energy goes to.
The next stage is the climax stage which is “Climax seral stages are much more complex, with many species. They create a favorable environment for many species. Biomass does not fluctuate, and decomposition rates are roughly equivalent to new production. Nutrients are cycled efficiently, and rarely leave the ecosystem. Individual organisms are longer-lived, since they invest more resources in themselves and less in producing offspring.” -https://www.marietta.edu/~biol/102/grasslnd.html
Finally secondary succession beings. This would be when the true life will begin. Kind of like the primary succession young life takes over although since there isn’t only young life that will stay. Having soil and relatively okay conditions will make the biome change a lot faster than it did before. Animals suchs as the Rucervus will begin with the movement to the area and will also adapt along with the environment.
