Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. The zinc content can vary between few % to about 40%

PROPERTIES.*Brass has a muted yellow color which is somewhat similar to gold. *It is relatively resistant to tarnishing, *Brass has higher malleability than bronze or zinc. *The relatively low melting point of brass (900 to 940°C, depending on composition) *Today almost 90% of all brass alloys are recycled.* Aluminium makes brass stronger and more corrosion resistant.
