Growth of Copal Art

Since its inception, Copal Art has grown to become one of the largest Delivery Linked Art Fund and has created its own art bank where around 3000 artworks are placed.

Through its focus on hard core research backed analysis, Copal Art has today, grown into one of the largest advisory firms in the Indian art market. Copal in the past has marketed and successfully launched three Art Fund Series called CAP Series, first two of $2 Mn each, the third one, being Asia’s largest for $ 30 Mn in 2008. Copal is credited to create largest base of first time art collectors.

KEY PEOPLE ON BOARDShri Ashok Vajpeyi, ChairmanShri Ashok Vajpeyi, Chairman of the National Academy of Arts (Lalit Kala Akademi) and Chairman of Copal Art. He was the Joint Secretary, Culture for Government of India from 1992-2003. Shri Vajpeyi has been decorated by Government of France and Poland for his cultural contributions.

He is also the recipient for various national awards such as Sahitya Akademi Award, Kabir Samman, Dayavati Modi’s Kavi Shekhar Samman.

Mr Ajay Seth, Chief MentorChief Mentor of Copal Art with more than 34 years of experience across marketing and financial services, including his role as CEO & MD for an FMCG firm.

An avid art collector himself, Mr. Seth is also on the forefront of other art promotion initiatives such as ‘Raza Foundation’, ’Global Art Movement’ etc. Mr. Seth has also been invited as a speaker to various art collector and investor forums such as ‘Millennium club of Mumbai’ etc.

Mr Sudip Bandopadhyay, Board MemberMember of Copal’s Board of Directors. Sudip brings over 22 years of experience from the financial sector having held key positions such as the managing Director of Reliance Money and head of Treasury and Strategic Investments at ITC. He is currently the MD & CEO of Convexity Solutions.

He has been instrumental in leading several business forays at the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and has managed one of the largest corporate treasury assets of the country at ITC.

FUTURECopal aspires to come up with Art District and Art Exchange in India. Copal also aspires to create an Art Bank equivalent to worth of US$ 250 Mn. Copal plans to expand its operations to key international locations (US, UK and UAE).
