Notice of Public Involvement Meetings for the

Coors Corridor Plan Update Albuquerque, New Mexico

The City of Albuquerque will hold a second round of public meetings for the transportation component of the Coors Corridor Plan Update. The project encompasses the portion of Coors Boulevard from Bridge Boulevard north to Alameda Boulevard and to the Coors Bypass. The objective of the Coors Corridor Plan Update is to evaluate future congestion and mobility problems that will affect travel on Coors Boulevard and to identify and evaluate various alternatives to meet existing and future needs.

The purpose of these public involvement meetings is to share the findings of the project specific to: (1) how growth and development will affect future traffic flow on Coors Boulevard and (2) the transportation improvement options being considered for this corridor. Feedback is highly encouraged from the users of this roadway, along with residents, business owners, and others having an interest in the Coors Corridor.

Two public involvement meetings are planned to increase the opportunity for stakeholder participation. The information presented will be the same at both meetings. The meeting dates, times, and locations are:

North Meeting Location Don Newton (Taylor Ranch) Community Center

4900 Kachina Street NW, Albuquerque 87120 Tuesday, December 6, 2011

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Presentation starts at 6:30 p.m.

South Meeting Location West Mesa Community Center

5500 Glenrio NW, Albuquerque 87105 Thursday, December 8, 2011

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Presentation starts at 6:30 p.m.

Alternatives under consideration range from minor improvements at intersections and access points along Coors Boulevard to higher-end investments such as roadway widening options and providing high-end transit service.
