Food Wine tours cooking activities are fun but didactic, creative but with traditional basis, from low to high difficulty, participative and pleasant.

You will find the chef inside you, whether you are a beginner or an experimented cook... even if you have never used a table board… You’d never thought cooking was so much fun.

Our cooking activities are very diverse and some of them are partially outdoor, next to the sea. They can be adapted to a corporate event or for any kind of group.

Cook with your friends or colleagues, make your own appetizers, try your self-made paella, delight a mouth-watering desert and… make a toast with a well deserved glass of cava. Traditional Cooking Classes in Barcelona

Join Food & Wine Tours cooking classes and discover the secrets of our local traditional cuisine. Learn how to cook the typical dishes of the region and taste the menu prepared in a friendly atmosphere.

Enjoy while cooking, play with the ingredients and savor the dishes you have prepared, while enjoying one day with your friends or colleagues.

Cooking lessons are hands-on, intimate, fun, informative and full of tips and tricks of the trade. You are encouraged to discover and explore the tastes and textures of some of the finest ingredients from fresh fish casseroles (cassola) to “mar i montanya” and rice dishes, fresh vegetables, green newly pressed olive oil, cheese and our wines.

The workshop can begin with a tour at a market, optional.

Cooking at the Chef’s House & Gastronomic Tour in Barcelona

An experience for gastronomes and culinary adventurers

By the hand of our local chef, savor and indulge with us visiting the famous Boqueria market in Barcelona, get a few Spanish and Catalan cuisine essentials and go to our Chef’s house to prepare your food feast! Number for this private cooking class is limited to a maximum of 6 people.

This is a chance to discover a traditional market with its display of fruits, meats, fish, etc. This experience will be pure delight for your senses with the display of amazing colors and subtle scents.

Discover the secrets of Mediterranean traditional cuisine, a cuisine that is reflected by its territory: the sea provides the excellent fish and seafood so typical of the cooking of the coast; the plain gives the produce of the field, the market gardens and the fruit orchards, from the hills we receive meat, cheese, wild fruits and mushrooms. The mixture of all of these is what has given our cuisine this variety of flavors and contrasts and gained it the name of “sea and mountain” cooking.

Menu will vary according to season:

Gazpacho, potato omelet, chicken with prawns, tomato bread, shellfish paella, Catalan cream, etc.

Once the tour is done, we will go to the Chef’s house, where we will culminate the process by cooking traditional delicacies that will be tasted afterwards with a well deserved glass of wine.

Bring an extra bag to stock up on the Catalan flavors and products that you’ll undoubtedly want to bring home.

You get to eat what you make so… set the table!

Alternatively you can skip the market tour and dive straight into the Spanish cooking class.

Paella Cooking

Roll up your sleeves and make wonderful homemade paella!

Paella is the most famous authentic national dish of Spain. Come and learn how to prepare this wonderful and tasty meal.

The group will be divided in teams that will have to make the paella following the instructions in the recipe and led by the gastronomes that will be helping and supporting.

Once the paellas are finished, they will be blind tasted and judged on different criteria by the master gastronome or chef.

Will you be able to taste your paella? Certainly! Once the activity is finished and the winner team is announced, you will enjoy a full meal (lunch or dinner) sitting on the restaurant consisting on:

3 tapas (possibility to have them while cooking) ½ portion of the paella made by the participants

1 main dish to choose between meat of fish Dessert (crème bruleé)

Sangria, wine, beer or soft drink, bottled still water and coffee.

Cooking class of Pintxos paired with Wines Bilbao

Join Food & Wine Tours cooking classes in Bilbao and discover the secrets of how to make pintxos, bringing you near to the world of Basque High Cuisine in Miniature…….

Bar counters display numerous pintxos, the equivalent to tapas in other areas of the country. Making the rounds consists of popping in and out of several bars, usually the same ones every day, grabbing a pintxo and drinking a txikito (a small glass of wine) in each one.

Cooking class of Basque tapas and pairing of wines in a restaurant in the city centre.

This course will allow you to learn the techniques and the most suitable products for the preparation of the Pintxos as well as the best way to treat these products and the combination of them considering the colour, smell, texture and in general to learn with practical lessons. There will be a total of 8 different pintxos elaborated. Each Pintxo will be paired with a different wine.

To find flowers in a dish is uncommon, but as our chef says, most children have once in their lifetime taste a flower.

Adding flowers to a dish can add color, taste, and an unexpected surprise for your dinner guests.

In other cultures - and in other times flowers were customary. Our chef, awarded by his creativity, has incorporated them in his cooking as a valuable ingredient and, seeing the splendor of his more than hundred recipes, we wonder why it is not spring in every kitchen.

We will guide you through a world of aromas and unknown sensations, flavors set at the deepest of your memories and unforgettable moments. By the hand of our chef you will discover the virtues of this fashionable ingredient in our gastronomy, flowers; without a doubt an experience full of new sensations, surprising and original.

You will be able to taste flowers such as roses, orange blossoms, violets, begonias, lavender, jasmine and the surprising electrical flower; these flowers will be tasted raw and in surprising recipes that our chef will prepare for you.

Textures Cooking Class The alchemy of the senses

Following the Techniques of Ferran Adrià, we will do a cooking class on the different Textures from El Bulli, a world of unprecedented sensations, textures and flavors through a more than loquacious combination: sweet-savory, hot-cold, raw-cooked... to cause a gastronomic big bang that excites every sense and exceeds every expectation.

It never ever creates indifference on the most capricious palates.

During this class we will learn some of his most famous techniques, like basic spherification, inverse spherification, jellification, airing, etc.

The class is a hands on class and demonstrative, the dishes cooked by the participants will be eaten during the class, at the same time they are “cooked”, as some of this textures do not last long, like airs and some spheres stay with the same texture for only a few minutes,… there will be wine served with the food, as well as a table to sit down for those who do not want to participate very actively.

The genius Cuisine of a Michelin Starred Chef Cooking class with a Michelin Starred Chef

Enjoy an exclusive cooking class with a Michelin starred chef.

Spain is one of the countries in the world with more restaurants and chefs with Michelin stars. Probably the most recognized and influential culinary ratings in Western Europe.

During this experience we will have the unique opportunity to learn from a master. After the class there will be a meal served at the restaurant or at the venue chosen.

We have agreements with several Michelin Starred chefs over Spain, thus this experience is different in each case, most are demonstrative, but in some cases they might be hands-on.
