Wednesday 28th Elizabeth Carty Shrewd Food 7pm – 9.30pm 60 Following on from Elizabeth's very popular January class on "Health and Wealth Cooking", Elizabeth returns with new recipes. Elizabeth, author of "Shrewd Food", is passionate about food and has always had an interest in preparing good food at a realistic price. She is also conscious that we live in very busy times and that food preparation should be kept to a minimum. During the class, Elizabeth will demonstrate easy mouth-watering recipes that will be easy on the purse and also result in a significantly healthier diet. Friday 30th Elisabeth Ryan Cheese & Wine Tasting 7pm – 9.30pm 60 We invite all cheese & wine lovers to join Elisabeth in exploring a wonderful range of Irish & Continental cheeses in D|F's extensive cheese range from Sheridan's. Elisabeth will share her knowledge and will give lots of guidance for the perfect pairings of cheese & wine. Thursday 5th D|F Tutors Hot and Cold Soups 10am – 2pm 60 In this demonstration class we will explore the amazing range of hot & cold soups from around the world. Be prepared for every event, no matter what the weather, using fabulous seasonal ingredients. There is nothing more comforting on those cold wet days of winter than warm seasonal soups or lazing on the terrace in summer with an amazing chilled tomato consommé. Tues–Fri 10th–13th D|F Tutors D|F Kids' Club – Easter 4 Day Course 10am – 2pm 200 This is the perfect way to keep small hands busy this Easter. During the course the kids will learn an exciting range of recipes from different countries and traditions. As well as practical hands on cooking, other areas explored throughout the week include: seasonality, menu planning, nutrition, team building and problem solving. Saturday 14th D|F Tutors Exploring Sous Vide 10am – 2pm 60 Join us for an amazing demonstration class to see the magic of cooking using the "sous vide", a method of cooking food sealed in vacuum plastic bags in a water bath. See up close the amazing impact this technique has on the textures and flavours and compare with the more traditional methods of cooking.
