FP Miata Conversion• Keep all of your spare parts
– You will be surprised at how stock you can build an FP car– Use the complete stock brake system
• Do Not use aftermarket Brake Rotors – Use only Mazda rotors
• The only stock electrical I used was the starter wire and brake lights!!• Keep it Simple
– Just because the GCR says you can modify doesn’t mean you have to• Find a reputable dependable engine builder
– These engines could be a little sensitive if not built exactly right• Rear Wheel HP
– EP Mid 180’s with a 1.8 motor– FP Mid 140’s – GTL Basically an EP motor with the 24mm SIR – High 130’s

2.Cars need more maintenance and upkeep
1. Maybe just a tad more sensitive to component failure from higher corner speeds, vibration, higher RPM’s
2. Fiberglass body panels easier to break with contact
3. Motor refresh every 13 – 15 races weekends (FP)
4. More stress on entire drive train
