conversation with your other face
DESCRIPTION
because you’re as beautiful as water is wet in the seaTRANSCRIPT
2
I look around at all these clowns
with their smiles painted on their faces
no real emotion
they’re all just traces
of what we think we should feel
but have been replaced with
make up
but you think
you look good
even though you don't
you'll never know
you’re just a model of broken stone
with pieces missing
you'll always feel alone
because no one’s home
to console your ego
3
and you’re free to go
but you just can't leave
because behind closed doors
you’re as ugly as can be
and you don't need
a mirror to see inside
and from yourself
it does no good to hide
because you'll always find
what was left behind
even if it's nothing
but let's forget what I just said
because you’re as beautiful
as water is wet in the sea
but it just reflects what it sees
no different than you and me
4
and I hate to be such an optimist
but love is pain
and down the drain
goes the hearts of the vain
with the rest of the waste
and how's that conversation with your other face
I hope you have a lot to say
5
James 4:1-6
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come
they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your
members?
6
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and
cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because
ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye
may consume it upon your lusts.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the
friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever
therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of
God.
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that
dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God
resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
