Film Posters• The colour scheme used is conventional to the horror genre as the red connotes

rage and emphasises the biohazard aspect of the film which is a conventional theme of the Post-Apocalyptic horror sub-genre.

• The route of the eye is conventional of horror film posters as all of the key information is placed within the route of the eye to inform the target audience thus creating an audience buzz which is what a film poster is to do.

• The taglines used are conventional to the Post Apocalyptic Horror genre as they use conventional language of the genre such as ‘Devastation’ and ‘Infection’ which creates a sense of inescapable terror which is a common theme in the Post-Apocalyptic Horror Genre.

• The image is a conventional aspect of the Post-Apocalyptic Horror genre as it is usually significant to the film which is clearly shown in this film poster of the lone survivor in an isolated setting.

• Sans-Serif font is conventional as it is clear and much more modern than serif font which goes well with the simple layout which is also conventional of a film poster as it comes across more inviting to the target audience.

• A blocking bill is conventional of all film posters.
