Conventions in my magazineBig masthead presented at the top of the page in the route of the eye.

Coverlines are used on the left third of the page to attract its audience with what is inside when put in a magazine shop

Image is situated around the primary optical area

Sans-serif font is clear and eye-catching which is conventional to the indie genre

Cover Story is used to accompany the image to interest the target audience

Traditional and conventional colours are used suited to the Indie Genre. They are bright and appealing.

Image and captions are used to give the target audience more of an insight into what will be featured

Headings are used to split up the contents page to make it look organised and easier to read

Text used to describe what is featured inside the magazine

Same colour scheme is used to make magazine look more professional.

Cover Story singled out to connote its importance to the target audience.

Kicker is used to attract the target audience to the beginning of the body copy. It also makes the magazine look professional

Standfirst is used to give the reader a bit more background information about what the article is

Body copy is used to inform and entertain the target audience

Image used to accompany the article

Byline used to describe who created the double page spread

Pull quote to highlight the main points of the body copy

Caption used to describe the image and suggest the theme of the article

Headline to attract target audience
