Working principle

• The control valve manipulates a flowing fluid, such as gas, steam, water, or chemical compounds, to compensate for the load disturbance and keep the regulated process variable as close as possible to the desired set point.

• Sensor detect the process condition-> Transmitter compares the process variables-> Transmitter send the set point to the controller-> Finally the controller will send signal to the final control element (control valve).

Applications

Pipelines used to optimize the pipeline operating

conditions, and can be found in the upstream, midstream and downstream section of the piping.

Oil and Gas Oil and Gas industry use piping process. Its is

the same function with the pipelines

Marines industry Valves are used to regulate the loading and

storage of a ship’s power supply, provide water for fire-fighting capabilities, handle and processes wastewater and store any liquid cargo, among many other applications.

Biopharm industry Used for cleaning and sterilizing process

Direct Current (DC) Motor

• Almost everything that around us, such as machines use motor to operate. Almost all electronic mechanical movement is basically using the same principle or component that is alternating current and direct current.

• This is a device that converts DC electrical energy to a mechanical energy.

Type of DC Motor

• Stepper motor

Working Principle

• Motoring action- when a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field; it experiences a torque and has a tendency to move.

• When magnetic field and electric field interact with each other then will producing a mechanical force, and because of the force, direct current motor principle is created.

Page 12: Control Valve

•The direction of this motor is given by Fleming’s Left hand rule. •Fleming’s left hand rule state that, when current flows in a wire, and an external magnetic field is applied across that flow, the wire experiences a force perpendicular both to that field and to the direction of the current flow.
