CHAP.02 USER INTERFACE
02.1 CONTROL DISPLAY DESCRIPTION
The control display lets you communicate with the control unit. The keys are used to transmit commands to the control unit while the display informs the user on stove operating status. Programming mode displays the various settings that can be edited using the keys.
02.2 KEY FUNCTIONS
Key Description Action
1 + Used to access the work program setting. In setting mode it increases the menu or the displayed variable.
2 - Used to access the operating temperature setting. In setting mode it reduces the menu or the displayed variable.
3 LED TIMER Comes on when the programmer timer is enabled.
4 LED TEMP OK When lit it indicates the room temperature that has been reached. The heater continues to heat in ECO mode.
5 DISPLAY LED Indicates the work status of the heater and the settings menu.
6 LED COCLEA When lit it indicates that the auger is working.
7 LED ACC If turned on, the resistance is enabled.
8 ON/OFF Push button to switch the heater on or off. Press and hold down for a few seconds to activate the function. In the even of an alarm, it resets the alarm that is indicated. If pressed when in the temperature settings mode you access the technical menu.
9 LED ON When lit it indicates that the heater is in lighting or heating mode. When it flashes it indicates that the heater is in cooling or error mode.
10 AL When lit or flashing it signals that the pressure switch safety devices or the safety thermostat have tripped.

02.3 MAIN MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY

ACC Message displayed during the ignition phase ahead of the pellet preload phase.

FIRE STAB Message displayed with flame present.

CHAP.03 OPERATING MODE
03.1 SWITCHING ON THE CONTROL UNIT
Once the board is powered up, the software version appears on the display followed by the state of the stove which, in the case of the first startup, will be OFF.
03.2 SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
To access the temperature settings press button 2 followed by 1 or 2 to change the temperature value from a minimum of 7°C to 40°C. If while in the temperature setting mode you press button 8 you will access the technical menu. Wait 10 seconds before exiting the temperature setting.
03.3 SETTING THE OPERATION PROGRAM
The operating program represents the stove’s heating power. To access the settings press button 1 followed by 1 or 2 to change the program from a minimum of 1 to 5. If you press button 1 and hold it down, the measured smoke temperature and the speed of the smoke motor in revs per minute will appear on the display if the encoder is connected.
03.4 LIGHTING THE STOVE
To startup the stove press and hold down button 8 for a few seconds. The stove will proceed automatically to the lighting and heating stage.
03.5 SHUTTING OFF THE STOVE
To shut off the stove simply press button 8. The stove will switch off once it has cooled down following a controlled cooling process.
03.6 ALARM RESET
The stove signals all detected abnormal situations with an error code and comment. Before restarting the stove each error must be reset by pressing button 8 and holding down for about 3 seconds and, in any case, until the error message disappears from the LED display. The firebox must be emptied, i.e. the stove must be started up with a clean firebox.
03.7 ECONOMY MODE
If during the heating stage the room temperature exceeds the preset value LED 4 will light up and the stove will limit the power in order to maintain the preset temperature. If the temperature continues to rise above the delta T set in the system parameters, the stove will work in economy mode and will cool down. The stove will restart up automatically if the room temperature drops below the set temperature for atleast 1 minute.During this phase, the ECO test is displayed and LED 9 will continue to blink.

User programming is possible through the menu which can be accessed by pressing button 2 followed by button 8. The technical menu will appear as follows:

04.1 SETTING THE CURRENT DAY
Set the menu MN01 according to the current day . This setting must be done only the first time, it will be automatically updated by the internal clock of the board. The OFF setting does not modify the current setting.

Press button 2 and button 8 several times to select the correct menu according to the timer you want to enable. Then press buttons 1 or 2 to set the timer hours and minutes. Lastly press button 8 repeatedly to exit the technical menu (until the word OFF appears) or wait 20 seconds.
04.6 TIMER OFF 1-2-3 HOURS MINUTES OFF
Press button 2 and button 8 several times to select MN06. Next press buttons 1 and 2 to set the timer hours and minute. Lastly press button 8 repeatedly to exit the technical menu (until the word OFF appears) or wait 20 seconds.
04.7 TIMER 1-2-3 ENABLE AND WEEKLY SETTING
Press button 2 and button 8 several times to select MN07-MN10-MN13 according to the timer you want to enable. Once you have selected the timer, for example MN07, press button 1 to enter in the enable settings. The first setting is for the complete enable of timer, so select ON or OFF with buttons 1 or 2 to enable or disable the timer. In the case of setting ON, pressing button 8 we can enable this timer according to the weekly days, starting from Monday indicated as D1. Setting a value 1 we are going to enable the timer ON and OFF for that specific day. Setting 0 the timer will not be considered on that specific day. Press button 8 to confirm the change and move to the next day. On completing the day setting D7, the display will return to the main screen (OFF)..If you want the timer to execute only the command ON or OFF, just set the time of the command to not consider to 00:00.

CHAP.05 TECHNICAL MENU
The MN04 technical menu groups the various submenus that allow access to the various functions for use by the specialised Technical Service Centers only.Only some submenus can be accessed by the user solely to display the electronic control unit memory data or simple adjustments.Here is a rundown of the available functions.

CP01 Display of partial hours of work (these refer to the hours worked since the last technical assistance by a specialised Technical Service Centers).• Access the technical menu MN04.• Press buttons 1 or 2 repeatedly until “CP01” appears on the display. Hold down the buttons to scroll
more quickly.• Press button 8 to confirm.• The display shows alternately “Par/Partial work hours ”. After 10 seconds of inactivity it will
automatically exit the menu.
CP02 View total working hours (the stove’s working hours since it was first turned on).• Access the technical menu MN04.• Press buttons 1 or 2 repeatedly until “CP02” appears on the display. Hold down the buttons to scroll
more quickly.• Press button 8 to confirm.• The display shows alternately “tot/Total work hours ”. After 10 seconds of inactivity it will automatically
exit the menu.
CPE9 View alarm history (last 5 alarms triggered).• Access the technical menu MN04.• Press buttons 1 or 2 repeatedly until “CPE9” appears on the display. Hold down the buttons to scroll
more quickly.• Press button 8 to confirm.• The display shows alternately the error code and the type of alarm. Press button 3 once again to
view the next alarm. After 10 seconds of inactivity it will automatically exit the menu.
CPC9 The board allows you to modify several values such as the pellet feed and smoke suction as a percentage through two parameters :FASP is the percentage variation of the smoke suction.FPEL is the percentage variation of the pellet feed.To modify the parameters proceed as follows:• Access the technical menu MN04.• Press buttons 1 and 2 repeatedly until “CPC9” appears on the display. Hold down the buttons to
scroll more quickly.• Press button 8 to confirm.• Press button 8 to select Fpel or Fasp• Press buttons 1 or 2 to change the valueThe range of possible values for Fpel and Fasp is between -5 and +5. Each point corresponds to a variation of ± 5 % on the base value. (P-06 ÷ P-10 for the pellet feed and P-18 ÷ P-22 for the smoke exhaust).(The default values are: Fpel = 0, Fasp = 0)
Unauthorised access by the end user to any other submenu in the menu MN04 is not the responsibility of the manufacturer.

CHAP.06 IR REMOTE CONTROL
The IR remote control transmits to the control unit all the relative settings. The main functions are as follows:• Start up or turn off the stove.• Setting the heating power• Setting the room temperature• Timer settings• Turbo function• Silent function• Auto function• Display room temperature
06.1 IR REMOTE CONTROL INTERFACE
06.2 SETTING THE TIME AND DAY OF THE WEEK
After the batteries have been inserted, the IR remote control displays the time AM 12:00 and the day of week 1 (WEEK 1). In OFF status, press TIMER for 3 sec to enter the timer and week day programming.After pressing TIMER the time will start blinking; use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the current time, press SELECT and use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the current minutes.After setting the minutes, press SELECT, day 1 (on the WEEK line) will start blinking; use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the current day. Press SELECT to save the time and day of the week and to return to OFF status.

06.3 ON/OFF FUNCTION
When the IR remote control is OFF, only the time and room temperature are displayed.Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the IR remote control. The remote control is ON when the temperature, day, time and power are displayed.To start up the stove from the IR remote control, after pressing the ON/OFF button, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.To turn off the stove from the IR remote control, with the IR remote control in the ON status, press the ON/OFF button and then press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.
06.4 BUTTON LOCK AND BUTTON UNLOCK
The IR remote control buttons automatically lock after 45 seconds from the last pressed button.To unlock the buttons, press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds, with the remote control in your hand.
06.5 SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
The default temperature is 20°C. Press the ▲ ▼ buttons to increase or decrease the temperature value.After setting the temperature value, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.
The remote control is powered by two AAA alkaline batteries. In the event of remote control malfunctions, always check whether the batteries are charged. Otherwise, replace them with new ones of the same type. To replace the batteries, remove the cover on the back of the remote control, insert the batteries in the specific compartment (and as indicated inside the compartment). When installed, replace the cover. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

*Backlighting: the backlight switches on when you press any button on the IR remote control. If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, the backlight turns off.
** Room temperature display: when using the IR remote control, the set temperature is displayed, whilst when the IR remote control is not used for at least 20 seconds, the room temperature is displayed.The house symbol next to the temperature indicates the temperature read by the IR remote control that will automatically be sent to the electronic control unit and received by the same, only if the remote control is located within the receiver reception area (otherwise the stove will operate using the ambient probe positioned on the stove itself). Receipt by the electronic control unit of the temperature sent by the IR remote control is indicated by a dot on the control display screen.You can set the interval at which the remote control automatically sends the measured temperature by following these steps:- press and hold the ECO button for 10 seconds;- press ▲ ▼ to change the transmission time (00: transmission OFF, 01: transmission every 15 seconds, 02: transmission every 30 seconds, 03: transmission every 60 seconds, 04: transmission every 120 seconds);– press ECO to save the setting.

At the end of each operation on the IR remote control (when either ON and OFF), press the SEND button to send the settings to the stove control unit by pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.
Failure to press the SEND button at the end of each operation means the operations to be performed by the control unit will not be stored in the memory.

06.6 ADJUSTING THE POWER
The default power level is 1. Press the FAN button to set the power level. Continue to press the FAN button repeatedly switching from power 1 to AUTO power.* During the preheating phase, the stove modulates the heating power proportionally as it approaches the temperature set point. During the preheating phase, the stove display highlights this phase by displaying the word “Auto” alternating with other displayed settings.
After setting the power value, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.
06.7 TURBO FUNCTION
Press the TURBO button on the remote control to enable the function. After setting the function mode, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.When the stove is OFF the state of this function does not appear on the display.During the heating stage the stove runs to maximum and the temperature set point is increased to 30° for a period of 30 minutes (value can be adjusted by the specialised Technical Service Centers). At the end of the preset time the stove continues to operate at the preset power and temperature. During the heating stage the heater indicates this function by displaying the word “Turb” alternating with other texts.
06.8 SILENT FUNCTION
Press the SIL button on the remote control to enable the function. After setting the function mode, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.When the stove is OFF the state of this function does not appear on the display.When the Silent mode is activated, the product is set to work as silent as possible. During the preheating phase, the stove control display highlights this phase by displaying the word “Sil” alternating with other displayed settings.
06.9 ECO FUNCTION
Press the ECO button on the remote control to enable the function. After setting the function mode, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.When the stove is OFF the state of this function does not appear on the display.During the heating stage the heater lowers the heating power every 10 minutes until it reaches the minimum. During the heating stage the heater indicates this function by displaying the word “Econ” alternating with other texts.
06.10 TIMER FUNCTION
With the re ON, press the TIMER button repeatedly to switch between Timer1 ON, Timer1 OFF, Timer2 ON, Timer2 OFF, Timer3 ON, Timer3 OFF. From here it is possible to select the programmed start up and switch off settings.Press the TIMER button to enter the Timer1 ON setting (programmed stove start up). Press the SELECT button. The time will start blinking; use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the start up time. Press the SELECT button. The minutes will start blinking; use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the start up minutes. Press the SELECT button. Day 1, on the WEEK line, will start blinking. Use the ▲ ▼ buttons to scroll through the days of the week (from 1 to 7) and press the SET button to set the timer for the week day (press the CANCEL button to clear the day). After selecting the Timer enabled days, press the SELECT button to switch to the Timer2 OFF setting (programmed stove switch off). Repeat the same procedure.To set Timer2 ON and Timer2 OFF, Timer3 ON and Timer3 OFF follow the above procedure (with the remote control in the ON status, press the TIMER button repeatedly to scroll between the Timer1, Timer2 and Timer3 settings).With these operations, the timer is automatically activated (the ON icon next to the time indicates the timer is enabled).After setting the programmed start up and switch off functions, press the SEND button to send the setting to the electronic control unit pointing the IR remote control at the receiver.To disable the timer, with the remote control ON or OFF, press and hold the CANC button for 3 seconds (the timer is disabled when the ON icon next to the time disappears) . It is possible to re-enable the timer, with the remote control ON or OFF, by pressing and holding the CANC button for 3 seconds (the ON icon next to the time indicates the timer is enabled).

CHAP.07 ALARMS
07.1 “NO ACC”
If during the lighting stage the smoke temperature does not rise by the value set in P-44 or does not reach the temperature set in P-13 in the amount of time set in P-01, the board signals a lighting error.
• The lighting stage ends and the stove enters the controlled cooling mode.
• The words “Alrm/ No/ Acc” on the stove control display signal this error.
• After cleaning the firebox, before starting up again, the alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
In the event of a “NO ACC” alarm, before a new start up it is necessary to empty the firebox from any pellet present or pellet residue present so the stove can be started up with a clean firebox. The stove starting MUST ALWAYS be performed with clean firebox.

07.2 “NO FIRE”
If the stove shuts off during the work stage (the smoke temperature drops below the value set in parameter P-13), it enters the controlled cooling mode.
• The words “Alrm/ No/ Fire” on the stove control display signal this error.
• The pellet container may be empty. In this case refill the container with the recommended pellet.
• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
07.3 “BLACK OUT”
If there is a power failure while the stove is in working mode/lighting stage, when it restarts, it signals the Blackout with this alarm. The heater enters the controlled cooling mode.

• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
07.4 “FAN FAIL”
If the revolutions of the smoke exhaust drop while the heater is in working mode/ lighting stage and the board does not manage to maintain the set speed, the stove enters the controlled cooling mode.

• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
07.5 “SIC DEP FAIL”
If the pressure switch or the safety thermostat signal a failure while the heater is in working mode/ lighting stage, the heater enters the controlled cooling mode.
• The words “Alrm/Dep/ Sic/Fail” on the stove control display signal this error.
• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
• Have the thermostat and pressure switches checked by a specialised Technical Service Centers.
If the safety thermostat is triggered, reset the alarm manually and wait for the device to cool down completely, then reset the thermostat as described in the device manual.
07.6 “HOT PCB”
If the board reaches and exceed the 70 °C for more than 3 minutes, is indicated the situation of danger and the heater switches to cooling for internal overheating.
• The words “Hot /Pcb” on the stove control display signal this error.
• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
• Have the stove checked by a specialised Technical Service Centers.

07.7 “HOT FUMI”
If, whilst operating, the smoke temperature reaches and exceeds 250°C for more 30 seconds, this failure is signalled and the stove switches to controlled cooling mode.
• Sul display di comando della stufa la scritta “Alrm/Hot /Fumi” segnala tale errore.
• La segnalazione di allarme termina resettando manualmente la scheda mediante la pressione del tasto ON/OFF del display di comando della stufa per circa 2 secondi.
• Far verificare la stufa da un Centro Assistenza Tecnica Specializzato.
07.8 “STOP COCL”
If, whilst operating, the gear motor encoder blocks or fails, this failure is signalled and the stove switches to controlled cooling mode.

• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
• Have the stove checked by a specialised Technical Service Centers.
07.9 “CONT COCL”
If, whilst operating, the auger starts running at maximum speed, this failure is signalled and the stove switches to controlled cooling mode.
• The words “Alrm/Cont/Cocl” on the stove control display signal this error.
• The alarm is reset manually by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the stove control display for about 2 seconds.
• Have the stove checked by a specialised Technical Service Centers.
After every alarm that is triggered, before a new start up it is necessary to empty the firebox from any pellet present or pellet residue present so the stove can be started up with a clean firebox. The stove starting MUST ALWAYS be performed with clean firebox.
