  • Mission: The Bruneau Grand View School District provides a high quality education preparing students for futures that enable them to be positive contributors to society.

Vision: Our learners are capable, confident, and embrace learning.

BGV engaged students, parents, educators, and the community in the development of the Continuous Improvement Plan through community meetings facilitated by BGV's Capacity Builder, Board Members and BGV staff i. Input from these community meetings was used in the CIP and in this Continuous Improvement Plan. Input from community members we also gained during Board meetings and various community meetings.

BGV’s board-approved 2020/21 Supt. goals provide the District goals, based on the 2018-21 BGV Strategic Plan.

As indicated by ISAT interim data, BGV was on track to meet 2019/20 goals for student achievement as measured by the summaMve ISAT. Our intervenMons were focused on improving areas where BGV students were underperforming compared to the state average (see example below) - and using Idaho content standards to emphasize these areas in our curriculum… using the interim assessments as formaMve indicators of growth in these targeted areas. As indicated by our K-5 ISIP data from March 2020 (pre-COVID data seen below), BGV was also on track to achieve 80% reading providence as measured by the K-3 IRI.

NOTES: Increasing the number of students parMcipaMng in one or more advanced opportuniMes, increasing CTE track HS students graduaMng with an industry-recognized cerMficaMon and increasing CTE track HS students who passed the CTE-recognized workplace readiness exam is not a strategic priority for BGV. Our CSI-Up focus is to increase and maintain high rates of high school graduaMon and ensure our students are graduaMng college and career ready as measured by an increase in our SAT (and pre-SAT) scores and increasing our rate of successful post-secondary placement and local job placement aher graduaMon. Our focus on 2020/21 is ensuring our Sr.’s graduate on Mme, that our HS improves academic achievement (as measured by the ISAT & SAT) and that our HS students are developing work-ready soh skills as taught and measured by our HS PLC teams.
