How to contextualize the study of the English

Art 101 and PD 40

Hook-GE units and Transfer units

Key component-linguistic and sociolinguistic

skills acquisition

Critical Thinking: Analyze art, differentiating fact from opinions, and using

visual evidence.

Throughout the course, each of us will pause to

identify our individual responses to works of art, and

explain them to each other through visual analyses of

the art.

Aesthetics: Use multiple modes of inquiry and approaches to experience

and engage with the arts.

Cultural Diversity: Engage with other cultures in an effort to understand

them.

to get feedback from another instructor. to find out what my students actually do when they try to work.

years now; every year we have an opportunityto improve our pairings.
