Contents Page Design - Draft

I created a new blank A4 page and put the main heading for my contents, using my logo font to place the logo and Modern No. 20 for the ‘What’s happening in’

This is what it looked like after adding the text.

After increasing the size of the ‘Anthem’ font and placing it more in centre of the page, I then added the edited images onto the page.

Then, using the rectangle tool, I put white boxes in the corner of the images, painting them in white.

I duplicated the layers so all the triangles in the corner would be the same size.

Using the rectangle tool I created a red box at the bottom of the page.

Then using the type tool I added text to the box.

For the text in the red box, I went on to Layer – Layer Style, and increased the Drop Shadow and the size and the spread of the text.

I also added the type tool to the side of the page, starting off with the Birth of a hero font to the ‘Plus’ part of the font.

The rectangle tool was used to signpost the categories of the magazine, painting them black.

I added ‘Exclusive’, ‘Critics’ and ‘Guide’ to these boxes, using Abadi MT Condensed font.

As the model here is a feature of the magazine, I selected just her and the guitar using the Quick Selection Tool, and then went on Edit - Clear

Then with the Move Tool, I moved the model to the Contents Page.

After positioning the model correctly, with Modern No. 20, I added the date underneath the main title of the Contents Page.

The font for the numbering is Nicotine.

Then underneath the categories, I added some stories underneath them.

Then, using the TWCenMT Condensed Extra Bold font, I used this to highlight the main story title and the numbers, with the numbers coloured in red, using the same font.
