The mission of The Big Serve is to work in partnership with local non profits to serve our communities and neighbors through the

love of Christ. We are coming together for a day of service and using our time, money and talents to change the world around us.

We are working with agencies such as DenUM, Urban Peak and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and we have a project for

every age and ability. Whether it’s right here at St. Andrew or in Downtown Denver, we have a project right in your back yard.

GENERAL INFO

REGISTRATIONRegistration begins April 2 and continues through May 7. To make the registration process as effortless as possible, we’ve created several ways for you to register for projects - At St. Andrew/St. Luke’s, online through Eventbrite or the registration form found in this booklet.

LaborA handful of the projects offered will require specific labor skills, the abiblty to lift heavy objects or manual labor of some sort. Where you see this green icon, those factors (as well as others) may apply.

Family FriendlyWhere you see this yellow icon, this project is suitable for anyone ages 15 years and younger.

@ St Andrew & St. Luke’sBeginning April 2, Big Serve volunteers will be available every Sunday to help you register at three stations: the Service Kiosk in the Atrium, the Reception Desk outside the office area, and the Big Serve tables in Fellowship Hall at St. Andrew. Registration at St Luke’s will also begin Sunday, April 2 and run through May 7.

Online Registration will be quick and easy through the St Andrew website beginning April 2nd. To register online go to the St Andrew website at www.gostandrew.com. Click on “The Big Serve” and follow the link to registration.

REV MARK’S LETTER

Dear St. Andrew Family and Friends,

Welcome to our third annual Big Serve Weekend!

The Big Serve is about getting out of the pews and into the world. It’s about being the church in those places where we live, work and play. It’s about loving our neighbors and serving the common good over one incredibly inspiring weekend.

Every member of St. Andrew is asked to participate in one of more than 40 Big Serve projects this year. Many of our projects are multigenerational, so your whole family can serve together. While most of our projects will be offsite, we’ll also provide opportunities on campus for you to serve. Regardless of your age or ability, we’ll have a service project for you!

The Big Serve is an extraordinary opportunity for you to bring real transformation to our community. You’ll meet neighbors and strangers, make new friends, and in the process, you’ll be transformed yourself!

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Mark
