Traffic Analysis

A lift traffic analysis studies the performance of agroup of lifts based on assumptions about

the expected traffic situation. The main performance measurements are quantitatNe

(handling capacity)and qualitative (waiting time).

• Handling Capacity is expressed as the percentage of the building population the

groupof lifts can cope with over agiven time period (usually in 5 minutes).

• Waiting time is exactly that. It is thewaiting time for a lift to arrrve in response to preSSing acall

button. The lift traffic analysis is based on assumptions about the flow of the building

popu~tion e.g. when,fv.,here do they enterJ1eave and are there facilities e.g. restaurants,

gyms in the buildings that have an strong effect on the usual passenger flow. The more

accurate the passenger movement can be modeled. then the more accurate vvill be the

results of the traffic analysis. Once these are modeled an accurate calculation of the lift

performance can be made. The ootputs of a traffic analysis will gIVe an accurate indication of

the quality and quantity of lift service provided i.e, .....mat the waiting times are and .....mat

percentage of the building population can be transported by the lifts in a given time period.

When can aTraffic Analysis be used?A lift traffic analysis is fundamental in the design of new buildings to identify the size, speed

and capacity of lifts needed to provide the levels of service required. For existing buildings a

lift traffic analysis can be used to predict the impact on the lift service of changes in a

building's population and/or configuration e,g, to get the most out of buildings the

popu~tion is often increased and sometimes features are added to or changed in buildings

Group Control System

ROSH elevator group cootrol system is designed based 00 centralized group controltechnology. Agroup controller is used to realize the registratioo and the allocation of the hallcall. (,A.N-Bus serial communication between the group controller and the elevator's maincontroller ensures high speed and reliable transmission of massive data, A group controllerboard mounted \N'ith LED indicators, allClVVS us to monitor the cOlTUT1unication effectivenessbetween the group controller and the elevator's main controller, as well as the connecUon ofthe input ports. ROSH elevator group control system can manage a maximum of 8 elevatorsand 48 landings, allowing awide range of applicaUons,

Working Principles of the Elevator Group Control System.

After energized, the main controller of indivk::lual elevator will send the hall call b..Jttonsignal to the elevator group control system. The registered hall call signal will then be sent tothe IandingAndicatorboard of e:very flcor to acknovv1edge a landing call and light the callbutton. If any of the main controllers loses power, the group controller will directlycommunicate with the callfindicator board, ensuring that the ele:vator continues to workeffectivery under group control.

According to the SHORTEST WAJTlNG TIM.E principle, and considering the distancebetween the floors, registration status of hall call and car call, by-pass status, re:versalrunning, etc., the ele:vator group control system performs an effective real allocation ofthe hall call signal. The system will choose the elevators with the fastest response, thusthe transportation capability can be fully excavated and the elevator operation efficiencysignificantry improved.

Group Control System

If the elevator group control system identifies an elevator V'kiich keeps the door open after

receMng the allocated hall call signal for long time, the system vvill cut off that elevator and re­

allocate the hall call signals, ensuring the shortest waiting time fertile passengers.

In case that the elevator group control system is broken dOVvT1, under maintenance, or power

off, every single elevator will keep simplex running, and automatically return to the group

control mode after tile group controller is restored.

Disperse car waiting mode starts wtten all the elevators under the elevator group contrd

system are idle for more than a'1e minute. The system will allocate a'1e elevator vvhich will

reach the main floor most easit'y to the main floor waiting with the door closed, if there is no

elevator at the main floor or below. The system will allocate a'1e elevatorvvhich will reach the

higher level floors most easit'y to the higher level floors waiting with the door closed, if there

are tvvo ormore elevators in normal use, and there is no elevator at the main floor orbelow.

ROSH Biometric access control system is a most secure

elevator security system. By this system each floor people

can feed their fingerprints in system and others can not

operate the lift. It can provide multiple level of safety and

can be fixed at landings and cabin.

INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM,

Elevator integrated drive and controller, a variety of factors,

including elevators' safety and reliability, inherent characteristics

of elevator operation, and potential energy Io3d characteristic

of elevators/are taken into consideration. Designed based on

variable frequency speed regulation technology and elevator

contra technology, the elevator integrated drive and controller

is an ideal combination of an elevator dri've and an elevator

controller. Its dual 32-bit embedded mk:roprocessor unit

allows it to complete both elevator operation and motor drive

functions. The multiple elevator operation functioos can satisfy

customer's different application requirements. In addition, the

elevator integrated drive and controller offers improved

performance, usage convenience, and economical efficiency,

and it also features compact structure, small size, few wire

connection and high reliability.
