OUR deSIGn APPROAcHFrom the very beginning Oztent has

had a design approach built around

developing products that work better

and are aesthetically balanced with the

environment they are used within.

The first Oztent design was developed

by inventor and company founder Joe

Viglione, to overcome the problem of

conventional tents being difficult and

time consuming to set up.

but a big and spacious tent. A tent that is lightweight

Designing camping equipment, and tents particularly,

takes courage. Our designs need to be intuitive, and

work time after time - there is no tech support deep

in the desert or in an isolated forest. Brands that last

twenty years in this industry are tried, tested and

OUR APPROACH

Combined with unique and patented mechanisms, Oztent

employs a stringent materials assessment to ensure all our

products are durable enough to withstand the harshest

environmental conditions.

Materials are put through rigorous testing processes including:

Best tents ever made! Our Oztent has been set

up and had 50mm of water all around it during a

massive storm… and not a drop of water inside!

Only thing that went wrong was that our tent bag

floated away and we lost it! Pegged down with blue

screws and they are bomb proof!

Our set up of 2 RV5s plus trailer gives us more

flexibility than a camper trailer ever could, and it

was cheaper than the Chinese import campers with

inferior quality. We are so happy with our Oztents -

and the fact they set up so quickly is worth every

penny! No more fights over threading poles, dragging

a nylon fly over the top, and which ropes go where.

We’ve had our RV5 for at least 12 years; we started

our son camping in it and now use it whenever we

can. Having a chronic illness it helps by being so

quick to set up and take down. I was given a kokoda

chair for my birthday… what a beauty. Our RV-5

has been in the Simpson Desert, most of outback

NSW and QLD, the VIC high country, Cape York and

many numerous short week end trips. Another big

use was at school and social sporting events. It was

great to have a base for the kids to go to Yep, they
