Contemporary Geographically Isolated Peoples (PART 2) Read and follow the instruction to get an A+ smiley face!

Instructions: You will create a Google Presentation (GP) to show what geographic isolation

looks like and how it works; and to show how geographically isolated peoples live.

- Log on to your Google account BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE, please

-Each slide must have at least 1 picture

- Put all text at the bottom of the slides

- Fit the pictures in the slides to leave as little blank space as possible

- Follow the examples on Mr. Ruben Meza’s LEMA HS website under “Artwork”

Slide 6: Vocabulary,

Define the word anthropology and use it in a sentence. Under line the vocabulary

word every time it is used. Put at least 1 picture on the slide to illustrate the sentence, not the

definition, you use. Be creative and have fun. See the example on the Mr. Ruben Meza’s LEMA

HS website under “Artwork”.

Put a picture of the Huaorani people living traditionally. In a full sentence, write

on the slide the answer to the questions: What natural barrier blocks off the Huaorani from the

modern world? What traditional ways are the Huaorani able to keep because of their geographic

isolation?

How to create a Google Presentation:

1. Log in to your google account.

2. Click on “Create [New]”, and then click on presentation.

3. Click on “slide” then “new slide” (or push “crtl+m”) and repeat until you have 3 slides.

You now have a Google Presentation with 3 slides!

How to put pictures on a Google Presentation slide

To put pictures on the slides of a Google Presentation, first right-click-copy the website that has

only the picture on it (usually ending in “.jpg”), then in google presentation click on “insert”,

then select “image”, then “specify an image URL”, then right-click-paste the website that of your

picture in the space provided. Push enter. Resize the pictures as necessary.
