Wild mushrooms and berries bull Among all components of the forest ecosystems the largest accumulation of the radioactive cesium from the soil is inherent to mushrooms and berries (blueberries cranberries blackberries etc) bull About 50 of all samples of mushrooms (n = 77) that were collected in different regions of Ukraine during the monitoring in the UIAR in 2013-2014 did not comply with the requirements of the PL-2006
On the eastern part of Ivankov district of Kyiv region with 90Sr density of contamination higher than 55 kBqm-2 there is a risk of
grain production with the content of 90Sr above the permissible level PL-2006 (20 Bqbullkg-1)
