Cooperative group setting, facilitated by peer tutor; provided on a walk-in basis at each of our four centers

Small groups led by a peer whofacilitates a collaborative learning environment

Assistance for all writing projects except thosE FOR Writing Program courses

One-on-one appointments or group workshops for students seeking to improve academic skills like test-preparation strategies, textbook reading, communication, and self-management

Provided through the SAS HonorsProgram and coordinated by the RLCs

undergraduate Learning Assistants in recitations, labs, and study groups facilitate collaborative learning and increase individualized attention to student needs

“Learning centers have helped me applythe concepts I learned in class in meaningful ways. I was able to connect with peers in my class and engage in examples and practice problems that helped me better understand what was going on in the classroom.”

““I was able to organize myself better after going to the Learning Centers. I attended the workshops and met with an academic coach to help organize my studying skills, and access resources that aid in time management. Now I always go to lectures prepared and know what to study and how to study it.”

We serve the instructional needs of RutgersUniversity students and faculty, throughsstudent-centered academic support programs that stimulate active learning and advance academic achievement. We offer quality support to students who would like additional assistance in their classes, and job opportunities to students who are excelling and would like to improve their leadership and and communication skills. Our centers aid in increasing student retention and success through a variety of programs for both groups and individuals.
