The ProjectMaase Peniel Prayer Ministries:What does this mean?
Maaseis a place in Central Ghana, approx. 45 miles north of the capital Accra . A social center with a hospital ward and an orphanage is being built on a large site of approx. 40 hectares (99 acres).
Penielis the English name of a place in the Bible and means ‘face of God‘. Gen. 32,31
PrayerThrough prayer we receive the help and guidance of God.
MinistriesThis includes local practical help and support.
InternationalA network is growing : Ghana, England, USA, Germany, Netherlands, Norway.
e.V (Registered Association)In 2009 we established an association which is officially recorded in the register of associations. This means that donations are now tax-deduc-tible.
About us:
Peniel was initiated by Pastor Philip Asamoah from Ghana and is supported by a circle of friends from various churches.
Since 2004 Carol Schavet from the US lives and works in Maase ( Ghana ) and supports the project.
Philip Asamoah lives with his family in London . He is a Pastor, his wife a teacher.Born in Ghana , the needs of his home country have never left him. Therefore every year he spends time in his home country to advance the planning and implementation of the project and to encourage and empower the people to carry out the necessary work.
The Goal of the Project:
The needs of the people in Ghana are great.
They suffer under many unfortunate circum-
stances. Everywhere there is a lack of work, in-
sufficient nutrition, clean drinking water, clothes
and medical supplies. Orphans often don‘t get
the necessary care and support.
Only every 2nd child can attend school. 67%
of the population are illiterate. In many cases
there is no perspective or motivation to develop
oneself and change the circumstances of life.
We contribute by:
- helping people to help themselves
- providing basic medical supplies
- building an orphanage
- providing school education and vocational training
- teaching the principles of life from God‘s word
Development Status of the project:
- The property has been purchased and connected to
the country road and power supply system.
- A water supply has been secured by drilling out a well.
- A social center and a hospital ward have been built.
- The planning of an orphanage has been commissioned.
