Spring 2019 Newsletter

Foxboro Neighborhood NewsGREETINGS FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

The Foxboro HOA Board and our new management company, Property Management Solutions (PMS), held the Annual Foxboro HOA Meeting on February 27, 2019 at the Hyatt Place Hotel. Board elections were held during the meeting with new members being elected. The current Board consists of the following members: Colette Murray Swann-President, Lakesha Fields-Vice President, Willie Smith-Treasurer and Brian Faltus-Member. If you would like to see minutes from the annual meeting, go to http://pmsolutionssc.com/foxboro-hoa-irmo.

The Board would like to thank former Board Members Allison Timpe, Aisha Riley and Debbie Stoner for their years of service to the Foxboro Community.

Foxboro Community Park Fee – A $150 refundable deposit will now be charged to use the Foxboro Community Park. Since there is no regular trash pickup, the HOA Board voted to attach this fee to pay for cleanup after several homeowners left piles of trash following their party/cookout. This fee will be refunded to homeowners if they remove all trash after their function

If you would like to rent the park for your party/cookout, contact PMS via email at [email protected].

If Your Dog Poops, You Must Scoop

No one likes stepping in dog feces, especially if you do not have a pet. Please clean up after your dog once he/she has relieved themselves. Dog waste can contaminate the ground and become a means of passing intestinal parasites

and infections to dogs and people. Picking up the feces prevent a great deal of contamination. Cleanup can reduce veterinary expenses and might even save on human doctor bills. Also, please do not let your dog roam the neighborhood by themselves. Richland County has a poop scoop law with a fine that starts at $250 and a leash law with a hefty fine that starts at $1,078. Let us all do our part in keeping our neighborhood looking and smelling clean.

REMINDER – When cutting your grass, please do not leave clippings in the street.

Reynard Court Block Party

As new neighbors move in, the homeowners on

Reynard Court thought of a clever way to get to

know their neighbors. They held a block party on

their cul-de-sac.

Concerns

SAFETY FIRST!

Please obey the speed limit when driving through our neighborhood. We have several long

strips of road and it is easy to accelerate without realizing you are speeding. The many hills

and hidden curves are potential hazards if your vehicle is over the speed limit. So, let’s all

SLOW DOWN and watch out for our neighbors walking to the park or just enjoying a leisurely

stroll. Speed limits will be enforced by the Richland County Sheriff Department.

CLEAN UP: Are there properties in our neighborhood that are seriously unsightly? Have your efforts to address the problems been

ineffective? Richland County Code Enforcement has been a tremendous help recently in solving problems such as

completely neglected yards, unlicensed and inoperative vehicles, and neglected vacant lots call 803.576.1864.

HOME MAINTENANCE:

Spring is here and that means time to get outside! Have you checked your home’s exterior lately? Are there shutters

fading, gutters falling, fencing leaning or boards missing, garage doors in need of repair? This is a great time to clean

out those beds with overgrown weeds or dead plants, trim bushes and freshen mulch. It is time to begin a regular

schedule of lawn maintenance including cut and edging throughout our growing season.

All homeowners are responsible for maintaining their home and yard in a standard appropriate for the Foxboro

Community. In today’s volatile real estate market it is important to maintain our neighborhood’s appearance to keep our

home values competitive and a place we can all be proud to call home.

To report a found pet with a County Tag or other identification tag, please call (803) 576-2461 to report this. The information will be forwarded to Animal Care. If you would like the animal picked up, please inform the Customer Service Representative of this.

You may apply for a pet license by mail, in person, or online.

Requirements

The pet owner is required to show proof of rabies vaccination from a licensed veterinarian and proof of spay/neuter if applicable. Pet owners are also required to renew their license every year. Your pet license is good for one year. You will be notified by mail one month before your renewal date.

The cost to license a spayed or neutered pet is $4.21 The cost to register a fertile pet is $21.07

A statement from a licensed veterinarian that the animal, due to health reasons, could not withstand spay/neuter surgery.
