Contact GSM-16. Quick start guide.

Prepare your deviceFirst, prepare your devices which you want to connect, according to the Data sheet of the Contact GSM-16.

Please note, you must do following steps:

• Insert your device into the Contact Box (7Ah or 1,2Ah).• Connect your device to 12 V power supply.• Put your SIM cards into the SIM slots. Please make sure,

that your SIM Card does not require a password.• If you need to, connect your wired keypad to your device.• Connect another accessories.

Online ConfigurationThe easiest and the fastest way to configure the device is via Online Configuration.Go to www.eu.ritm.ru. You can choose the language in the upper right corner. Click the Registration for sign up.

After that you will get the e-mail for authorization, follow the link in that email and you will see this page.

Click on the button “Open Monitoring interface”. You can select “Run Object Add Wizard automatically”, or open this wizard later.

Now you should see the main page of GeoRitm interface.

If you didn’t open the “Add Object Wizard” yet, you can click on plus.

And add a group and an object. You will see this page.

Just click “Next”.

Here you should put the IMEI of your device. You can find it out from the Data sheet of your device, or written on the modem in your device.

Click “Next”.

Click “Next“.

If you see this page, the server now identified your Contact GSM-16. Click “Next”.

Here you can give a name for your object and add it to the group. You can choose an existing group, or add a new one right here.

After that click “Next”. Your Contact GSM-16 is ready to work. You can give Coordinates, or Address to your device, and you will see it on the map.

You can click on the image of your Contact GSM-16 on the map and see the events, general report and object’s card (you can open it from the left menu as well).

When you will open object’s card, you can choose the “Equipment” section and under the picture of Contact GSM-16 you will see the link “Setup a device”. It will open the wizard of settings of your Contact GSM-16, and you can configure it.

Configure your deviceAfter the successful connection you will see this page.

If you see the available update K16RT1 or K-16C (red color), please click on it. You will see the update in progress.

In the Object section, you can change the number of an object.

! You should use this number, when you will configure your areas, otherwise the alarms from the areas will create an incorrect messages.

When you change some setting, you have to click on the “Save changes” button before you leave the current page!

Configuration of wireless devicesTo connect the wireless sensors or keypads to your device, you will need your Radio system on (by default it is already ON).

! You can configure it only if you make a new Radio system, and the old one will be deleted.

Now you have a default Radio system, and if you are sure you don’t need to change anything else, do not change these settings.

Wireless sensorsTo configure the wireless sensors, go to the “Radio sensors” section.

Prepare your sensor to be connected, according to the sensor’s Data sheet, and click “add”.

You will see the process of the sensor being added.

Then you will see your sensor in the sensor’s list.

Wireless keypadTo configure the wireless keypad, go to “Keypads” section, prepare your keypad to be connected, according to the Data sheet of the keypad, and click “Add keypad”

You will see the process of keypad being added.

Afterwards you will see your keypad in the settings list.

The same way, you can add your keyfobs in the keyfobs section.

When you add your radio sensors or keypads, you can see, how they function in the “Radio device map” section.

Configuration of wired keypadsGo to the “Keypads” section.

Wired keypad should be already connected to your device.

Click add and your keypad will be connected authomatically. You will see it in the list.

Go to User codes page.

Here you can make codes to control your areas from the keypad.

Set-up via USB-cable

The alternative way to set-up your device is via the USB-cable.

Download the software• Go to our website www.ritm.ru, in the right top corner

you can choose the English language. • Then go to “Downloads”.• Open the “Common software for the set-up of all of

Ritm’s devices”, click on the link and download file.• Then open “A set of drivers for connecting Ritm’s devices

to the common setup software”, click on the link and download this file as well.

Install the software

Unzip archive Drivers, and Install the downloaded Driver (Drivers\CP210x_VCP\CP210x_VCPInstaller_x64 or Drivers\CP210x_VCP\CP210x_VCPInstaller_x32), depending on the version of your operating system:

• Accept the agreement, click next.

Also, you will need to install driver of virtual com port (from \Drivers\ST_VCP\VCP_V1.3.1_setup, or \Drivers\ST_VCP\VCP_V1.3.1_setup_x64), depending on your operating system:

• Same steps: click next, and finish.

Check the connection of the device to your PCOpen the PC manager.

Click on the Device Manager and look at COM ports. Port for RITM USB is called “Silicon labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM4)”.

! Please remember the number of your com port, it will be important in the future.

Open the configuration wizardRun the downloaded configuration program from the file, it will look like this:

In the right bottom corner you can choose the language.

After that, for the first time, it may be necessary to download the latest version of the software.

Here you can choose your COM port (use the port which you saw in device manager), leave the “Master code” empty and click “connect”.

Thereafter, set-up the device as described previously.

GPRS and Communication channels Configurations

! When you change some settings, you have to click on “Save changes” before you leave the current page!

Go to Device Details, where you can find general information about your Contact GSM-16.

Here you should copy the IMEI of your Contact GSM-16, and check the registration in GSM network.

If you have bad reception conditions of GSM, or SIM card doesn’t work, you will see, that SIM has “No registration in GSM network”.

Now you have to configure the GPRS connection.

Go to the section “GPRS parameters” and fill it according to your own settings. You can find out the settings from your GSM provider. Make sure, there is no tick on “Specify APN configuration automatically”.

Next you will have to set up the connection to eu.ritm.ru server.

Click on the Communication channels.

Create two “data” channels. Both of them should use the SIM1 GPRS-online ContactID Connection.

Later on you can make more channels, or change the mode if you need to.

! Make sure to put the tick on “OR”; it means, that the SIM card will use second channel of connection, if the first one is not working.

To configure the first channel, type into the boxes of “Connection settings”:

• address dev1.eu.ritm.ru • a port number 9426. • the password – “TestTest”.

To configure the second channel, type into the boxes of “Connection settings”:

• address dev2.eu.ritm.ru • a port number 9426.• the password – “TestTest”.

i To choose the object numbers, areas numbers and users numbers you have to type value in the direct box by the PC keyboard.

Now you can login into eu.ritm.ru and add your object to the system.
