Nvr pay in ash. Whn purhas-

ing a poliy, mak th hk pay-

    abl to th insuran ompany.

Policies sold after 1992 are stan-dardized. This means a Plan F

from on ompany will hav thsame benets as a Plan F fromanother company. Policies issuedprior to 1992 may differ somewhatfrom ompany to ompany.

Effective June 2010, the Medi-care Improvements for Patientsand Providers Act (MIPPA) madehangs to Mdiar supplmnt

latd by th cntrs for Mdiar and Mdiaid Srvis, not th Kntuky Dpart-

    mnt of Insuran.

Medicare Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) - Mdiar Advantag plan

    ations.

Open Enrollment - This is a six-month period following enrollment in Medicare PartB. If you are covered by your employers health coverage and turn 65, your enroll-ment in Medicare Part B can be delayed until you retire. Keep in mind that if you areovrd by a small mployr group of lss than 20 mploys, Mdiar is primary

and would pay benets before your employer plan would. If you have a small groupmployr plan b sur that it will ovr what Mdiar would hav ovrd if you do
