What is the objective of Regulation (EU) 216/2008?
The principal objective of this Regulation is to establish
and maintain a high uniform level of civil aviation
safety in Europe.
Who is affected?
National Aviation Authorithies (NAAs) and EU airports
have to achieve and maintain compliance with legal
EU regulations (e.g. Reg (EU) 216/2008, 139/2014,
CS-ADRetc.)TheEASAcertificationisrequiredfor
aerodromes if they meet all of the following conditions:
open to public use and serving commercial
air transport
using instrument approach or providing departure
procedures
paved runway of 800 metres or above or exclusively
serving helicopters.
